Pastor Andrew Kim
Originally from Los Angeles, Andrew is the Lead Pastor of Alive Church. Believing that God had called him into ministry, he left the world of business and attended Fuller Seminary, where he received his Master of Divinity (M.Div.). He served as the Executive Pastor of Tapestry LA for 7 years before being sent out to Montreal in January of 2022.
Andrew and his wife Jessie have 2 sons: Micah and Aaron. He is also an avid basketball fan, closely following his favourite player, Lebron James. Above all things, he is passionate about seeing the gospel of Jesus Christ transform and renew cities like Montreal.
Stephane Ngo
Stephane was born and raised in Montreal. He graduated from Concordia University with an Economics degree and presently works in insurance. After being saved in college, Stephane started attending the MKUC English Ministry. There, he learned how to follow Jesus wholeheartedly and eventually started serving the local community in various ways. Currently, he serves on the leadership team of Alive Church and oversees everything audio and video at the church. Married to his wife Cindy, they have two kids, Nathan and Maddy. Some might call him a foodie but his favourite foods are chips and pizza. Most of all, he loves seeing people being transformed by the Gospel.
Cindy Kim
Cindy was born in Toronto but grew up in Montreal. She was saved at 17 years old and got involved in serving ever since then. She studied graphic design and graduated from OCAD U. She is married to Stephane and have 2 young kids together. Since having children, she has been focused on raising them and serving at Alive Church while freelancing on the side. Today she is part of the leadership team of Alive Church and oversees all the creative contents. She is an avid DIYer willing to recreate anything beautiful she sees. What drives her to keep serving is seeing people truly set free and walking in the identities and calling Christ has for them.
Lucy Jeong
Lucy moved to Montreal at the age of 12 with her family from South Korea and has been living there since. She studied Management and Marketing from Concordia University and currently works in Marketing for a telecom company as her full time job. She started serving at church by playing the keyboard at the age of 15 and now oversees the worship team at Alive Church. She is passionate about seeing people encountering God through powerful worship. She also loves anything related nails and travelling.
Elissa Kim
Elissa is a Montreal native and graduated from McGill University with an English Literature degree, but pursued a career after graduation in Brand Marketing and Project Management. Having had grown up in church, Elissa naturally started serving with the little, which eventually grew to her serving in the leadership team at Alive. Some of her roles in the church consist of administration, social media, and event planning. Elissa loves board games, playing cozy video games in her spare time, and spends way too much time on TikTok. Most importantly, Elissa is passionate about the power of community and witnessing people feel and know that they are fully belonged.
